European standards for safety and work shoes
The current EN ISO standards for work and safety footwear have been listed by the European Union and determine the requirements that both safety footwear (S for Safety) and occupational footwear (O for Occupational) must comply with.
Both standards, EN ISO 20345 for safety footwear and EN ISO 20347 for occupational footwear, have different safety classes. Below you can find a complete overview of the minimum requirements each safety shoe needs to comply with.

* SBP en S1P: Besides the requirements of the classes mentioned above, SBP and S1P shoes are also equipped with a steel or synthetic safety midsole (P).
